A wild campsite on the banks of the great Zambezi River,
where the bush tells its story at dusk.
Nestled in the wild heart of the Lower Zambezi Valley, near the village of Manyepa, Fever Tree Farm is a stretch of untouched river wilderness. Named for the tall fever trees (Acacia xanthophloea) that line its banks, this is a place where the rhythm of the bush still sets the pace.
Sprawling riverine forest, open woodland, and floodplain — home to elephant, hippo, buffalo, and a tapestry of birdlife.
Uninterrupted vistas across the Zambezi. Golden sunsets sink behind the escarpment while the river gleams below.
Falling asleep to the grumble of lion across the river, waking to fish eagles crying overhead. This is the real Africa.
No frills, no crowds. Just you, the river, and the wild. Our campsite is designed for those who want to step away from everything and sleep under the Zambezi stars.
Private, well-spaced pitches tucked into the riverine shade, each with its own view of the river.
Hot bucket showers under the stars. Compost toilets. We keep it simple and leave no trace.
Each stand has a fire pit. Bring your own wood or gather deadfall. Dinner around the fire is non-negotiable.
Walk down to the water's edge. Canoe trips, fishing, or just sitting and watching the elephants drink.
Zero light pollution. The Milky Way stretches from horizon to horizon. You've never seen stars like this.
Lion at night, hippo grunting in the channels, the ever-present call of the African fish eagle.
Fever Tree Farm shares its land with some of Africa's most iconic wildlife. You're not visiting a zoo — you're visiting their home.
Regular visitors wander through the camp. Give them space, and you'll witness something unforgettable.
Heard almost every night from across the river. Occasionally seen on the farm's floodplain at dawn.
The Zambezi is their domain. You'll hear hippo laughter at night — keep a respectful distance.
Fish eagles, kingfishers, herons, bee-eaters, and over 400 species recorded in the valley.
Your photos go here. Drop them in and I'll add them — sunsets over the river, elephants at dusk, campfires under the stars.
For those who want the wild — with a roof over their heads. We're planning a handful of simple, beautiful chalets perched above the riverbank.
Now open. Pitch your tent, park your caravan, or rock up with a swag. The river is your lounge.
3–4 self-catering chalets on stilts, thatched, with private decks overlooking the water. Off-grid solar, bush bathrooms, outdoor showers.
A community-focused camp — local guides, village partnerships, conservation initiatives. Tourism that gives back to Manyepa.
